Canoeists,

Today marks the last training of the term, and a break for all of you to catch up on your (hopefully) already ongoing preparations for the coming promos.

Do not allow yourself to be complacent. Apply the same sort of discipline and determination that you show during training, into your studying preparation. In addition, training may officially be on a hiatus, but as Mr. Lim mentioned, do not allow your physical fitness and mental toughness to slip too much, if at all during this period.

For those of you who have been suspended, please take the responsibility and the initiative to try to keep up. When training resumes, I expect nothing more than the utmost effort put in during every training/morning run. For those who have barely escaped suspension this time, there will be no more chances given. The rest of you who have had the expected attendance, keep it up.

Discipline is something that has been emphasized over and over again. Discipline is something that we currently do not have enough of yet. Remember, whatever the obstacle, whatever the challenge, put in that 110% and more, and it’ll be worth it at the end.

Last burst till promos.

- Gilbert.

Dear Canoeists,

For almost every training, discipline, attendance(COMMITMENT), physical and mental strength have been stressed over and over again to every one of us... but there is still lacking of attendance(MORNING RUNS) and discipline... ask yourself this question. Ever wonder why each of us make the every effort to come for training, 'kill' yourself and 'suffer' by pushing harder and rowing harder?? For what?? Is it because you have no choice thus follow suit? Or is it because you want to be STRONGER BETTER AND IMPROVE, ULTIMATELY YOU WANT TO WIN SOMETHING DURING NEXT YEAR’S NATIONALS??
Being part of this team means having the commitment: just as simple as coming for trainings. How difficult can it be?? If you are not ready to even make the slightest effort to attend trainings and train your guts out… then I can tell you Canoeing is not for you. You can just walk out from this team.
However, the past trainings have shown that every one of us is willing to push even harder and to continue to do so..
What Gilbert and Gerald have been stressing, ATTENDANCE is VERY x infinity IMPORTANT!
Discipline comes hand in had with commitment.. .
100% discipline and focus (mental strength) are expected from you during every training. No less. Shouting, counting loudly, taking your trainings seriously and GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION~
Every training we go, WE MAKE IT COUNT, at the end of the day we tell ourselves we have PUSHED HARD and are getting nearer and nearer to our ultimate goal of winning in nationals and will continue pushing on!

- Cassandra!

Adding on to what Cassandra said,
Do you know why I stress on the importance of informing me if you're not coming for training?
Accountability.
We are accountable for the attendance of each one of you..
I'm sure it doesn't take much to just inform us yes? :D

Overall attendance percentage from 24/07 - 17/08

Congratulations to those who have attendance at 100%!
As you can see, the team did not achieve the aim to have attendance above 90% last month.
Hm, work hard, train hard, study hard this month alright! (:
One thing to note, please pass me your MCs, Letters first instead of giving them directly to the teachers. I need to collate them first!
This will make things less complicated.
Thank you for your understanding!

And I apologise to Sixuan for the mistake made on my part.
I'm sorry..

Hm, so the 4 suspended this month will be Andrew, Audrey, Denise and Germaine.

Dear Cjc canoeing team,

It has been one month already!(24/07 - 18/08)
How do yall find the trainings?

To clarify things, I shall reiterate this issue on attendance once again.

Firstly, if yall are not coming for morining runs/land trainings/water training, please tell me before trainings.
This is to ensure that you are accounted for.
Next, please pass me a copy of your MC/Parent's letter.
Thus, your attendance will be counted for that particular day.
If I do not receive your parent's letter/MC in a week, it'll be considered as a "0" and it'll affect your overall percentage. (Well, of course unless you bother to tell me otherwise)

For the past month, we've decided to suspend those with above 4 unaccounted attendance.
The suspension will last 2 weeks.
You will not go for morning runs/land trainings/water trainings.
The 4 people are: Germaine, Sixuan, Denise and Andrew.
(Train yourselves yeah?)

As for the rest, I've yet to recieve your MCs/Parent's letters.
If you do not give me by Tuesaday, it'll be suspension for you too.

Just to let you know, my class's 1T08.

As for the following months, it'll be 90% attendance, or else. ;)

I'll place a list of your jacket sizes on the board, change it if you want a different size.
If not, I'll take it as it is.

And remember, no matter how tough training is, manage your time well and study hard!
Don't use training as an excuse alright? (:

Heyy there,
Bring $2 for canoe fund tomorrow please!

And reminder to you people once again,
If you are not coming for training/morning runs, you have to inform me BEFORE training/morning runs.
If not, I'll take it as absent, without excuse.
Which will affect your overall attendance.

I'm sure none of you wants to be suspended yes?
